My Argentina Exchange

Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you know I have been offered an amazing opportunity to spend my senior year in Argentina living with three different families, going to the local school, and being a part of the community. Last year I applied to our local Rotary club for their year long exchange program and was chosen to go through their application process. The process included an application, an essay, a personal interview and a family interview. It was a lot of work and I feel honored to have been one of only twenty students chosen in the upper Oregon and lower Washington area. I am currently preparing to leave in August and will be gone until the following July. I have not been introduced to my exchange families and do not know what town I will be living in yet. However, hopefully I will soon and will keep you all updated.
This is a dream come true for me as it has always been my goal in life to be able to travel and experience other cultures. I am also considering studying languages and anthropology in college in order to further this interest and be of service to the world. My year abroad will be an amazing opportunity to get started on my goals and will allow me to become fully fluent in Spanish, which I have been studying for 5 years.
Your Help
In order to have this international life changing experience I need to raise $7000 to pay for the costs associated with a year abroad. Your donations will go towards airfare, international insurance, living expenses and local activities in Argentina. Your financial support will help make this dream a reality! I am looking for a job now so I can work to raise money but I also need the help of my community.
