On March 23, path reports indicated that my right lymph node included IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma), which the CT scan confirmed later that week. Given my age and prior diagnosis, my oncologist, medical team, and I have agreed on an extensive ~5-month chemotherapy regimen beginning April 14th.

This of course is unexpected and difficult news to process and share. As Simone navigates this difficult time, we are fundraising for her recovery while she will be on unpaid medical leave from work.
