Simone Michelle Cooper's Leukemia Fight

While 2020 has been an unprecedented year with COVID-19, "stay at home orders", etc. Simone persevered. She graduated from Winnetonka High School in the Spring (2020) and was accepted and enrolled in Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR. Simone opted out however after finding out her classes would ALL be online (COVID-19) and decided to make this her gap year and would be fully ready for in-class attendance in the fall of 2021. Simone however has continued to work at QuikTrip (QT) and was recently accepted into the CNA Program at Truman Lakewood, to prepare her for her goal of becoming a RN with focus on the mental health aspect of medicine. For those of you who know Simone she is kind and caring, generally putting friends and family before herself.
However, on December 10, 2020 her life took a major tailspin when she was given the news that she has Acute Monoblastic Leukemia (AML). While the news is devastating to anyone, extremely devastating to a young girl who just turned 19 (November 2nd). Not given time to even grasp it completely, she began Chemotherapy December 11, 2020, and just completed her first phase December 21st. Simone has more than likely a minimum of 5 months of chemotherapy (10 days each month) ahead of her with only limited time at home. Simone will continue to suffer sleepless nights, nausea, hair, and weight loss. With all that said she needs your help in maintaining the things she has worked diligently as a young adult to attain. While health insurance is in place it will not cover everything needed for her long journey to wellness. She has been blessed with a wonderful team of medical professionals. However, she is reaching out to family, friends, and other well-wishers to financially assist in her journey to wellness. No donation is too small, anything that you can donate will be genuinely appreciated. Your help is needed as we strive to keep her focus on beating this thing (AML).
