Simon Stolsmark family

Hello: My name Is Dean Huffman and I am raising funds for expenses that arise from travel and treatment for Simon Stolsmark and his single mother Sarah Schumacher while Simon seeks treatment for Noduler Sclerosing Hodgkin Lymphoma. I think everyone knows when you say hospital how expensive it gets whether you have insurance or not. I am just a family friend who wants to help. My family has been blessed with good health with only a few setbacks. I have had cancer, and a car wreck caused by a young adult with no auto insurance. I can only imagine how Simon or his twin sister and mother feel outnumbered. This fund will help to offset travel expenses, motels and insurance copays. He has already spent weeks in the hospital just to find out what was causing his downward spiral in health. The following are his mother Sarah's words. (I am paraphrasing.) "He first broke out in a rash in Sept. of 2022 over his whole body. He fought that for 3 months and was on the mend and eager to finish high school. He was very tired all the time and had a nervous stomach but he figured if he concentrated on school all would work out. After finishing that semester he complained of tightness in his neck and he had swelling behind his ears. On Dec. 29 his sister forced him to urgent care for nausea and swollen neck. He was sent to the ER. His chest x-ray showed a mass and the CT scan showed swollen lymph nodes. He was told he would be transferred to Sioux Falls SD. for what was suspected. A type of Lymphoma. After a needle biopsy, it was determined he had Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin Lymphoma. After 10 nights in the hospital, a treatment plan was set into action. First, they installed a port in his chest for the upcoming chemo treatments. We are told this type of cancer is beatable but the therapies will be aggressive and take at least 6 months followed by more doctor visits and more scans."
