Simon’s Fight for his life.

I am beyond sad to share the news that my best friend Simon became ill in December of 2022, and was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer, specifically Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

As many of you know, Simon and I have remained great friends, and I consider his children, Aiden and Penny, the children I never had, the children of my heart. His diagnosis was a complete shock to all of us, and we have had some very low moments, including many sleepless nights, since December, talking, visiting him at the hospital, encouraging him, and trying to figure things out together.

Simon is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, which is expected to continue until late this year. Since being diagnosed, he’s been unable to work for the majority of the time and yet continues to accrue huge medical bills and needs help with daily living expenses. I have personally been helping him throughout this time and I have also been taking care of his cat, Mia, (the cat I rescued a few years ago), whenever he has been admitted to the hospital for more chemo. I consider Simon a part of my family, and I will continue to help him as much as I can, and continue to pray for him and his children as they go through this difficult time, but I can’t do it alone.

I am asking our friends and family for sincere prayers of healing for him to beat this disease, and to consider contributing to his ongoing treatment. Anything you can give would make a difference.

He is a great father to his two teenage children (and Mia) and has vowed to fight this deadly disease with every ounce of energy he has left. He’s literally in a fight for his life, taking it one day at a time.
