Simon Freeman deserves better!

Hi all, Not entirely sure where I'm going with this other than to say, as some of you will have heard Simon had another incredibly unlucky cycling accident this week and is in Royal Melbourne Hospital with many fractures to his other shoulder, front, back and ribs and a bruised lung. Looks like it was a random spontaneous front tyre tube blow out that threw him over the top of his bike.

Simon had finally convinced a few of us to don lycra for the first time and take a ride with him on a perfect sunny day with Pete over from the UK and the three bothers all together (see photo) and we were having just the best day until a km from Nadi's shop and we suddenly weren't.

It would be really nice if we could give him a little something to make him feel the love he deserves. Between this and other recent events he could surely do with a nice gift or just funds to cover medical bills and the closed shop.

We all know Simon is more of a giver than a taker, but we can do this and he will have no choice but to take it. If we could set this up anonymously we certainly would. I am not looking forward to facing him and any disapproving looks or refusal attempts, but once a few people have given it will be out of our hands! Even if we can just pass the hat around and get a few dollars from enough people who know and love him I am sure deep down it will be hugely appreciated.

We were also thinking to try to set up something around some wine boxes or something from Simon's wine shop but this would obviously need Simon's involvement and he has enough on his mind at the moment. We will get info out if anything like this happens.
