Dr. Eugene "Gene" Stephen Simko, of Red Bank, NJ passed away Tuesday, June 12th. Simko was an Associate Professor and published author at the Leon Hess Business School and the Faculty Council Chair of Monmouth University, where he recently celebrated 40 years of teaching.

While he had many professional accolades as an accomplished author, professor, and philanthropist, the role we all knew Dr. Gene Simko as best was an incredible father to Nick and Gemma.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, to send donations to The Simko Family Scholarship at Monmouth University, so a group of Gemma's sorority sisters wanted to pool our resources to make a sizable donation to the scholarship fund to continue Dr. Simko's legacy of love and commitment to his students at Monmouth University.
