Simi's gender affirming laser surgery

"if not today, then when?"

Those are the words I've said to the five o'clock shadow I've been glaring at. The shadow that shows up every three days after I've recovered from the last shaving binge. 

The biggest source of stress and dysphoria comes from my facial hair. 

I have come to a strict schedule where I shave 2-3 days in a row. This is so that I can do my makeup for work followed by my "rest period". This is usually where my face can recover from the cuts and I can grow it out for a cleaner shave.

These are the days where I never leave the house as well as the days where I feel most uncomfortable looking at myself. In the face of this problem, I have decided to move forward with laser surgery as well as electrolysis later on. 

I'm invested in a future where I am able to navigate my days without makeup while still feeling affirmed and secure. That is why I appear before you in a truly vulnerable form. 

the funds I am raising will cover enough sessions to prepare me for the more permanent facial hair removal (electrolysis) that I'll be enduring the following year. That being said, I'd like to begin my sessions on my birthday this year which will be in July :). 

Donating to this would mean a lot to me. I've been putting this off for so long it feels daunting. However, every day I stand closer and closer to the light of the girl I want to become and I just don't think I can stand in the shadows anymore.
