Simeon Huber - Leukemia Fund

Dearest Family and Friends,

Seth and Jessie Huber received the difficult news that their two-year-old son, Simeon, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. So, rather than write up our own words, I'm just going to share a message from Seth...

8/21/22

"It has been a crazy past week and a half for our family. A little over a week ago we had the joy of adding a new baby girl, Ayla Jae, to our family--and Jess and baby are healthy! Since then we've been in and out of the hospital with our two year old, Simeon, with fever and other weird problems. This morning Simmy was diagnosed with leukemia and starts chemotherapy tomorrow. Thankfully it is the most common form and has a high survival rate, but is still incredibly hard to wrap our minds around right now. In a short time, we've experienced one of our greatest joys and greatest fears, and we would love your prayers for our family as life will look different for us for quite a while. Thank you."

Simeon had a bone marrow tap this morning (8/22) to check for mutations and has already started chemo. He will be at the hospital for the next eight days to two weeks if all goes according to plan, and will be back and forth from Hillsboro to Springfield, IL for the next month regularly and then less frequently over the next six months.

For those that don't know Seth and Jessie's family well... they have five kids, live an hour drive from the hospital that's treating Simeon and are a single-income family with Seth being a self-employed carpenter. These funds will help cover travel expenses and free Seth up to be with his family as much as possible. If you feel led to give financial support--THANK YOU!
