Hi! My name is Simcha! I'm 20 years old, a student, art-maker,  passionate dog-walker, mailroom clerk, and retail associate! I'm also non-binary and am in the process of creating a self that I feel comfortable to exist within.
On this path to being able to relax in my body, the time has come for me to undergo top surgery, otherwise known as a mastectomy or radical breast reduction.
I've found a surgeon in San Francisco and I am absolutely elated to go through the process. I am already dreaming of days without rib and back pain from binding my chest! It makes me so deeply exuberant and excited to even imagine the prospect!
The only thing standing in my way is the sheer cost! My quoted price for top surgery is hovering around $10,500. Through my jobs and a paid internship am I able to pay about half of that cost but am turning to crowdfunding for the remainder.
It is exhausting every day to exist in a self that feels incongruous with my idea of myself and this surgery is necessary to alleviate that for me. Any help is so appreciated and I am sending so much love to all of y'all <3
