This is Simba, he is almost 5 months old and has been recently diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), a rare but life threatening disease in cats. He is a playful and friendly kitten that is so loving and good with kids. He had a rough start in life, abandoned and found in a hole in the wall of a rental property, and is still so sweet despite this.
FIP is a serious viral illness, and without treatment it is always fatal. There is treatment but it is expensive especially for neurological cases like Simbas which is affecting his nervous system and eyes. It started with his eye sight which I noticed was deteriorating randomly. I had taken him to a vet appointment and they did a Feline Covid (fcov) test which is the precondition to FIP and said most likley it would be FIP. However it came back clean so we had to do more tests over a course of a month to confirm a diagnosis of FIP. During this time he had lost mobility and strength in his back legs and is now struggling with his bladder. This treatment is his only chance to recover and it requires immediate treatment which the vet said he needs but it is an immediate upfront payment of a £2000 deposit and then the rest to be paid when he is discharged which would range from another £2000-£3000. His condition required immediate treatment but unfortunately without the money I can only give him steroids that will only ease his pain, not cure it, and it at most will give him about a month or two.

The funds raised here will directly go towards his treatment including his antiviral medication and hospital stay. I was quoted £4000-£5000 depending on how severe his condition has become. This money will cover his hospital stay where he will be injected with only vet administered medication and then the rest of his medication which will be given by pills at home.

Every donation will make a difference. Please share with friends and family so Simba can get the care he desperately needs! Thank you for giving Simba a chance to fight FIP so he can live a happy and healthy life!
