My name is Bonnie and I’m making this on behalf of our dear friend Simba for his amazing family.

It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of Simbarashe Richard Chidziva, taken from us far too soon. The shock of losing him has deeply affected everyone who had the joy of knowing him: his family, his friends, his neighbours, and the countless people whose lives he touched in his own unforgettable way.

Simba had a rare gift, the ability to make you laugh until your cheeks hurt, to speak about the universe like he’d known it forever, and to bring comfort without even trying. He was joyful, spontaneous, spiritual, and full of fire. Whether he was dancing into a room, sharing unexpected epiphanies, or simply showing up when you needed him most, Simba had a way of making everyone feel alive.

As we begin to process this huge loss, we are also faced with the challenge of giving Simba the send-off he truly deserves. His passing was unexpected, and no family should have to carry the weight of such arrangements alone.
