My name is Daniele, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for help saving our precious kitten, Simba. He’s not even a year old — full of love, playfulness, and that unshakable curiosity cats are famous for.

Just days ago, Simba was running around the house, playful and affectionate. Then, almost overnight, everything changed.

What Happened?

Simba suddenly became weak, stopped walking properly, and was clearly in pain. He began hissing when touched and dragging his back legs. We rushed him to emergency care, where he was admitted and put on pain relief while the vets worked urgently to find out what was wrong.

After CT scans and specialist assessments, the diagnosis came: Angiomatosis, a rare but aggressive condition involving the abnormal growth of blood vessels — in Simba’s case, around his spine.

What It Means

This vascular mass is pressing on Simba’s spinal cord, causing:

• Severe pain

• Limited mobility

• Neurological symptoms

The growth cannot be surgically removed due to its position, but there is hope. Veterinary specialists have recommended radiotherapy to shrink the mass, relieve the pressure on his nerves, and give Simba a chance to live a pain-free life.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Radiotherapy in animals is highly specialised and expensive. Simba will need:

• Imaging and planning (CT/MRI)

• Multiple radiotherapy sessions

• Medication and ongoing monitoring

The estimated cost for this treatment ranges between £6,000 and £9,000.

We’ve already spent thousands trying to get him diagnosed, and now we’re facing the most critical (and costly) part of his journey. We simply can’t afford it on our own.

Fino a pochi giorni fa, Simba correva per casa, giocava e ci seguiva ovunque. Poi, all’improvviso, tutto è cambiato.

Cosa è Successo?

Simba ha iniziato a camminare male, sembrava debole e provava chiaramente dolore. Ha smesso di muoversi normalmente, e ha iniziato a trascinare le zampe posteriori, reagendo con fastidio quando cercavamo di toccarlo. Lo abbiamo portato subito in clinica veterinaria d’emergenza, dove è stato ricoverato e messo sotto antidolorifici mentre i veterinari cercavano di capire cosa stesse succedendo.

Dopo esami, TAC e consulti specialistici, è arrivata la diagnosi: Angiomatosi, una rara condizione in cui si formano crescite anomale di vasi sanguigni — nel caso di Simba, attorno alla colonna vertebrale.

Cosa Significa

Questa massa vascolare sta premendo sul midollo spinale di Simba, causando:

• Dolore intenso

• Difficoltà a camminare

• Problemi neurologici

La massa non può essere rimossa chirurgicamente a causa della sua posizione, ma c’è ancora una speranza: gli specialisti veterinari consigliano la radioterapia per ridurre la massa, alleviare la pressione sui nervi e dare a Simba la possibilità di vivere senza dolore.

Perché Abbiamo Bisogno di Aiuto

La radioterapia per animali è un trattamento molto delicato e costoso. Simba dovrà affrontare:

• Esami specialistici (TAC o Risonanza Magnetica)

• Più sedute di radioterapia

• Cure mediche continue e controlli post-terapia

Il costo stimato per il trattamento si aggira tra i 6.000 e i 9.000 sterline (circa 7.000–10.500 euro).

Abbiamo già speso migliaia di sterline per arrivare alla diagnosi e per tenere Simba stabile, ma ora siamo davanti alla parte più critica (e più costosa) del suo percorso. Non possiamo farcela da soli.
