I’ve been in dog rescue for about 20 years and although I absolutely adore my animals financially it can be difficult at times. I’ve never had to ask for help with one of my personal dogs but it’s unfortunately come to that. Simba came to me as an owner surrender and has had joint/orthopedic issues for a while. This past week he has slowly lost the use of his back legs and right now is at the emergency vet where I was quoted, at the moment, up to $9,300- something is wrong with his spine- possibly degenerative disease, a slipped disc, or cancer. To say this year has not started off the greatest is an understatement. I just lost my female Cane Corso a week ago to old age and cannot bear the thought of losing my boy. He is my heart and my kids and I love him dearly. I know many of us are strapped for cash. I’ve already been to a couple of places to even pawn (meaningful) jewlery to come up with some of the money. Unfortunately I am also dealing with a flooded basement. Any and all help is sooo appreciated for my Bim ❤️ Please help if you can…..
