Every year, countless stray cats and dogs in rural Romania suffer through harsh winters, hunger, and abandonment, but only a few ever receive a second chance. At SIM4PAWS, we believe that compassion can become action, and that every rescued cat and dog deserves safety, dignity, and a real chance at a loving home.
We are a student-led initiative from the Master in Strategy and International Management (SIM) program at the University of St. Gallen.
Our Mission
SIM4PAWS aims to strengthen Romanian animals shelters’ capacity to save lives by improving shelters, supporting the recovery of sick animals, and making adoption more accessible and sustainable.

How You Can Help
Your donation for this project will directly fund four essential pillars of impact:
- Winter Food Supplies for Rescued Cats & Dogs: providing dry food, recovery food for sick kittens, and raw meat needed to keep animals fed during freezing temperatures.
- Upgrading Cat & Dog Shelter Infrastructure: building and improving enclosures, quarantine spaces, and safe areas to protect animals year-round.
- Medical Care and Treatment for Sick or Injured Animals: funding medications, vet visits, recovery food, and emergency care for animals suffering from illness, malnutrition, or injury.
- Building an Online Adoption Platform: creating a digital platform to increase visibility, attract responsible adopters, and give more animals the chance to find a home, locally and internationally.
