Greetings family and friends! My name is Gabriella Ramos. Many of you know me, but what you may not know is that I have Polycystic Kidney Disease that is now in the end stage. In December of 2019, I began training to learn how to do dialysis at home and have since been doing dialysis for 10 hours nightly, six nights a week.
The good news is that I have a matching kidney donor in my sister-in-law, Silvia Ramos! Silvia is a kind and generous spirit who happens to be a blood match and has lovingly agreed to donate her kidney and we are now in the end stages of preparation to do a transplant. We will confirm the surgery date in the next week, but for now we are anticipating the transplant to take place around April 23, 2021 at UCSF in San Francisco.
This campaign is to support Beloved Silvia as she embarks on her two month recovery process post-transplant.
Silvia is my husband Gabriel's younger sister and is mother to Emmanuel, a 14 year-old growing, active, young man. Silvia and Emmanuel live in Yuba City, CA about 2 hours north of where we live in Alameda.
Silvia is currently working two part-time educator jobs. Because her work is only part-time she does not qualify for paid time off and will only be able to request state disability which only pays a portion of lost wages.
Please consider donating to this campaign. Silvia is literally giving me the gift of renewed life! Every night I have to connect to a machine to keep me alive. I am so grateful to have the ability to do my therapy at home, especially during this pandemic. But this is a whole other kind of BLESSING. One that I don't even fully have words to express my gratitude for. Your donations will help to cover such expenses like: rent, car insurance, utilities, loan payments and Emmanuel's school tuition and other expenses allowing Silvia to recover peacefully and with confidence and without additional concern or need to take on a 3rd job over the summer. Our goal is that while Silvia expects to be recovering for two months, we would like her expense to be covered for at least three months.
All amounts donated to this campaign will be a blessing and I declare that whatever you contribute is multiplied and comes back to you in Divine circulation, heaped up, pressed down and running over! Thank you!
Silvia and Emmanuel will be staying with us in the Bay Area for the two months after the surgery.
For those interested in supporting Silvia's and my post-surgery care (visits, rides to appointments, gifts, food, cleaning...), please send an email to KIDNEYLOVE2021 AT GMAIL DOT COM for BOTH Silvia Ramos and Gabriella Ramos. Then, you will be connected to our respective care calendars.
Thank you for your prayers, blessings, happy thoughts, love, well wishes, and financial contributions.
God IS, We Are, and all is exceedingly well!
Amen, Ase', And So It Is
