Silvia and Enrique Need Your Help to Fight Cancer in Texas!

Silvia, wife of Enrique (Rico) Osorio, was diagnosed in February 2020 with a rare type of ovarian cancer clear cells stage 3C. She began 3 cycles of chemotherapy treatment during the COVID pandemic and underwent a radical hysterectomy in April 2020 to remove her ovaries, uterus, cervix, ligaments and tissue around the uterus, appendix and part of her colon. Afterward, the cancer mestasized to her liver and lymph nodes, and so 3 more chemo cycles ensued.

By the end of 2020, Silvia returned to work and began again enjoying a “normal” life, taking chemo pills for maintenance and going to regular appointments with her doctors. However, heartbreakingly, by July of 2021, she needed 6 more cycles of chemotherapy, and then she started to have allergic reactions. Each procedure needed to be undertaken in a hospital setting, which further increased the cost of the treatments.

It was then that her catheter for chemo fractured in the hospital, necesitating another surgery.

All through these horrible experiences, Silvia was working when she had the energy to do so, trying to help her husband, Enrique (Rico), with monthly bills.

Silvia's disease has progressed to stage 4.

This week, her doctors have sent her to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for treatment.

While we pray and believe in the miracle that Silvia will receive in Texas, we are starting this "Hail Mary" Go Fund Me account to try to help with the medical bills and the travel costs and hotel fares she will be facing when she is healed and whole.
