Hello, my name is Tegan I am a deaf Student and I am determined to make a positive impact on the world, and I have come up with a unique way to do so. I have decided to organize a six-course tasting menu along with six carefully selected beverages, all in the name of raising funds for the National Deaf Children's Society.

But this won't be just any ordinary dining experience. The theme of the meal will be a silent meal, where guests will be provided with earplugs to wear throughout the evening. By removing the sense of hearing, I hope to encourage guests to explore alternative means of communication and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the deaf community.

During the silent meal, guests will have the opportunity to learn sign language, a beautiful and expressive form of communication used by the deaf community. Trained sign language interpreters will be present to guide and teach guests as well as booklets full of sign language , ensuring that everyone can participate and engage in effective communication. This unique experience will not only raise awareness about the importance of inclusive communication, but also provide guests with a valuable skill that they can carry with them beyond the event.

The six-course tasting menu will be carefully curated to tantalize the taste buds and showcase a diverse range of flavors and textures. Each dish will be thoughtfully prepared by skilled chefs who have generously donated their time and expertise to support this cause. From delicate appetizers to decadent desserts, every course will be a culinary masterpiece, designed to delight and surprise the senses.
