Silas's Arthrogryposis Journey

Dearest family, friends, and well-wishers,
First let me start by saying THANK YOU for clicking the link to support baby Silas!

On November 24, 2015 we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Silas Jo Saunders into the world! To our surprise, our Silas was born with a very rare neuromuscular disorder called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita or AMC. Silas was born with multiple joint contractures, little muscle mass throughout his legs and arms and bilateral clubbed feet. It was our worst nightmare as parents to be told that our baby may never be mobile. Silas has undergone multiple serial castings, surgeries, and therapy 3x weekly since he was born....unfortunately he still is not standing or bearing weight on his feet. His current doctors at our local hospitals don't have the experience with Arthrogryposis needed to successfully treat his condition. Silas is a super hero and beating the odds each and every day! But he needs the help of experienced Orthopedic Surgeons who specialize in Arthrogryposis to ensure he has every chance he can get at walking and mobility. 

We have finally found a specialist at Nemours/DuPont childrens hospital in Delware that specializes in Arthrogryposis, and they are willing to treat Silas as soon as possible! 

Here is where we need your help.....with the demands of Silas's medical needs, we have been brought down to a one income household, and unfortunately our insurance has yet to cover any of Silas's medical treatments. We are asking for help with the extensive travel expenses that will accure this year, from the mulitple trips to and from Delware from our home in Utah.  Please consider donating to help our family get Silas the medical care he needs. We are not specifically looking for monitary donations, but any vouchers, gift cards, or discounts to help with airfare, lodging, meals, rental cars etc., would be so greatly appreciated.
