Please help Silas as he faces further tumor removal

Hi, my name is Christina and I’m a childhood friend of Brooke! Their family has been through such a tough journey and need our support as they approach Silas’ next surgery. Brooke and Shelby will both need to get to California and cover accomodation costs, etc while there! Let’s work together to ease their burdens!

From Brooke:
Update on Silas and his aggressive growing pitutary gland tumor (brain base):

We have still been navigating fairly aggressive growth, and after many second opinions from around the country Silas has been finally scheduled for his third brain surgery in Santa Monica, CA with Dr. Daniel Kelly at Pacific Neuroscience Institute at St. John's Hospital.

Silas is stable and doing okay but this is a surgery that must happen to prevent further damage. He is starting to lose some vision due to compression on the optic nerves and he has adrenal gland insufficiency. We were told he had to have a surgery by February 15th to mitigate the risk of vision loss or greater loss of pitutary gland function.

God has worked out the timeline and tons of details (that we are praising him for) and we are so grateful, although there are lots of details that need to be worked out.

Silas and I will leave January 27th to go for pre-op appointments and imaging work ups, etc. We will be staying right near the hospital for the first week during the pre-op and the surgery thru the 5th at minimum. Shelby will be flying down to stay with us during the surgery.

Silas and I are looking for a place to stay near or in Santa Monica from February 5th through possibly the 16th, as we need to stay in the area for post-op appointments and for Silas safety. Please let me know if you know anyone who has an Airbnb or a place for us to stay while Silas is recovering; we would appreciate any connections.❤️

Thank you for all your prayers, messages and love during this last year and a half of navigating with our precious son Silas. We trust the Lord has good plans for our son and His ways are not our ways. We praise His name in the joy and the unknown.

Matt 22:37-38
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
