Singing for a school mini bus.

We are St Georges School in Newport on the Isle of Wight. We are a secondary school for students with a range of complex additional needs. We believe in providing all students with a full, balanced and meaningful curriculum, which meets their needs and aspirations. This includes vocational courses, real life experiences and opportunities to engage in meaningful real life learning.

Of course, this comes with its challenges such as finances and transport.

We are a group of passionate staff members hoping to raise enough funds to provide the school with a new minibus, which all students will be able to use to access experiences, and learning outside of the classroom. Back in April some of us walked 27 miles as a group and raised over £4000 which has started the ball rolling!

The next fundraising event is an evening of fun presented by Leach & Thomas Entertainment in the form of 'Stars in their eyes.' This will be on the 11th of November 2023. Alongside lovely local volunteers, we have staff members taking themselves out of their comfort zones, dressing up and singing like their idols.
