It's super important to us that anyone is able to enjoy our gigs, and that certainly includes people who are deaf or have hearing loss. As a DIY band it can be hard finding resources to offer this regularly, but we want to try!
We've been lucky enough in the past to be able to perform with British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters. They've added so much to the experience we can give our fans, and we want to do more of this!
We're starting by crowdfunding a BSL interpreter for our album launch gig on 23 April and want to build from there, hopefully by getting venues to offer it as part of our fee. We shouldn't really have to raise money for this - we need to work towards changing gig-going experiences for both visually impaired and deaf fans overall. But for now...
