Each year, in honor of Chucky Mullins, Sigma Nu selects an individual living with paralysis as the primary recipient of Charity Bowl. In recent years, Charity Bowl has also benefited the Manning Foundation and the William Magee Center for Wellness Education.
This year, we are honored to have Chris "Creek" Mitchell as the 2024 Charity Bowl Recipient. Chris is a former Ole Miss football player who was the first player to wear the number 38 in memory of Chucky Mullins. He is an Ole Miss hero and well know for "The Hit" where he stopped an Arkansas running back on the goal line to preserve a 21-17 Ole Miss victory in 1990. He contributed greatly to begin wearing the number 38 the following season after Chucky Mullins' injury in 1989.
Chris currently suffers from paralysis and needs financial support to improve his quality of life and transportation accessibility. It is an honor to benefit Chris who has done so much for Ole Miss.
