Last July, one of our candidate's mother was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer. She had her kidney removed on August 21st, 2024. She started treatments immediately after surgery and received a total of 17 treatments. On Thursday, October 2nd, she received her last treatment. Mrs. Winborne will continue receiving scans every 3 months for a year, and if everything continues to look good, her scans will change to every 6 months for 5 years. Her experience has felt like an emotional roller coaster ride. It’s been hard on her whole family and especially her kids. She's done a lot of praying the past year and is so thankful for God's blessings. Also, she is thankful to her family for their sacrifices, to her friends for their support, and she is very thankful to Sigma Nu for their kindness and generosity. They have organized a fundraiser to support all Sigma Nu moms that have been affected by this disease. Mrs. Winborne is grateful for your kindness and commitment to making a difference. Thank you!
