Sigma Chi Huntsman Walkathon
Donation protected
The brothers at the Gamma Rho chapter of Sigma Chi will be completing a 24-hour walkathon Friday, April 2nd on Wickwire field in support of the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
In 1995, the Jon and Karen Huntsman family started Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) to ensure the future of cutting-edge research at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). One family cannot do it alone, which is why HCF relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and community groups. In December 2012, Sigma Chi designated the Huntsman Cancer Foundation as its sole preferred philanthropic partner. Philanthropy has always been an integral part of Sigma Chi, with the undergraduates taking up the rallying cry of becoming “The Generation to End Cancer”. This partnership with Sigma Chi is significant because college students across the world are directly affecting the lives of others through their fundraising efforts each year. These young men are facilitating workshops, events, and campaigns that involve people from all walks of life in the fight against cancer.
