Sight Saving Eye Injections

Some of you may know I have been battling Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy for the last two years - a sight threatening eye disease which can cause retinal detachments or vitreous heamorrhages - and leave you completely blind.
I have undergone laser treatment in both eyes for this but unfortunately today I discovered the laser treatment had not worked; my eyes are continuing to bleed and without further treatment I will go blind.
Unfortunately the only current treatment for this disease available on the NHS is more laser treatment. This obviously hasn't worked for me though and with each further laser treatment more and more peripheral vision is lost, threatening to leave me with tunnel vision at best. And with no guarantee it will even help halt further damage to my central vision.
There is an alternative to this treatment but it is not funded by the NHS for Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy. This treatment involves regular injections into the eye itself and even though it carries its risks, my consulant believes it to be my best option. Without this treatment I will not have my vision for much longer.
I am a single mum of two boys and I would not be asking for help if I did not so desperately need it. However, each injection costs around £1,000 a time and there's no set figure for the amount I will need during my treatment but it will certainly be in excess of 3 just over these next coming months alone. And I could need them for years! Obviously I can't afford this by myself and my family are kind enough to help where they can but unfortunately it won't cover the costs long term.
Please, if you can help me in any way - I would be so incredibly grateful. Anything at all will help and like I said, I wouldn't be asking if I wasn't so desperate.
There are so many kind people in the world and I know people are much worse off than I am but I can't even put into words how utterly terrified I am of not being able to see my boys grow up. And for money to be the only obstacle between having sight and not is unfathomable in this day and age. Please help if you can or share if you can not. I appreciate it more than words can say.
