Siggy's Kidneys

This is Siggy, an eight-year-old rescue pup. Two years ago she fell victim to poisoning by some sociopath. After weeks of treatment, we've avoided kidney shutdown though her function is diminished and regularly monitored.

 

Sadly after two years of improvement, she stopped peeing and before we got to the vet the vomiting started. She got rehydrated by an IV, but dialysis is needed. We are now in long-term treatment to push back her kidney issues, which means four trips to the vet a week with constant monitoring.

 

We have stretched my resources to their limits, especially since our younger dog, Hugo, is finishing rehab from his spinal surgery a few months ago.

 

The prospects are not looking good for continued treatment with our economic situation. Our last hope of resolving the issues and giving her a few more years of good quality life lays in your generosity.
