Sigmund (a.k.a. Siggy) has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is an aggressive form of bone cancer, in his hind leg. Today Siggy is having his leg amputated and will then begin chemotherapy. 

These two treatments will allow Siggy to live pain free  and will give him the best quality of life possible for the rest of the time we have  with him.  

Siggy is a trained therapy dog and has spent several years of his life visiting those who needed some extra  loving  and helping them heal. I am hoping that now, in Siggy's time of need, we can return this favor by giving him some extra love and helping him live out the rest of his life as happy and pain-free as he can be.
