Hi my name is Conor Heun. My good friend Michelle Dean came home yesterday to find he beloved pup Siggy looking bloated and unwilling to eat. Upon arrival at the vet she was shocked to her that poor Siggy's stomach was filled with blood. After undergoing emergency surgery the discovered that a mass on her spleen had ruptured. They successfully removed her spleen and are sending off the tumor to see if it is cancerous. They are worried that Siggy may have a mass on her liver as well so they are currently seeing a specialist in Littleton to assess what else may need to be done to save Siggy.
As you may guess the bills are mounting quickly and have already reached $7,000 dollars just for the emergency surgery performed last night. Michelle is an aspiring MMA fighter and works as a strength coach helping other people reach their health and fitness goals. This sudden and unexpected financial burden places her under tremendous hardship so I created this Go Fund Me on her behalf to help someone who does so much to help others.
If you can afford to help out please do so and if you aren't in a sound place financially, please help by sharing this post. No amount is too small. Thank you in advance for your support.
All money raised will support Michelle in Siggy's ongoing care.
UPDATE: Siggy went in for a second surgery on Monday afternoon when her internal bleeding wasn't stopped by the removal of her spleen. This second surgery was to remove a mass from her liver identified in the first surgery. Siggy, being the strong warrior that she is, survived the second surgery and is home healing with her Mom Michelle. I updated the fundraiser goal to represent the total cost of both surgeries that Siggy underwent today.
Michelle is a super dedicated coach, currently dealing with her own injuries while she continues to motivate and help others reach their health and fitness goals. I too was once a young MMA fighter struggling to make it in the fight game and keep my head above water financially. I know just how crushing the weight of an unexpected medical debt like this can be but I also know, as a dog daddy myself, that I would do anything in my power to keep my dog alive.
If you are a dog lover and have the means to give, please help Michelle out. I promise that she is the type of person that will pay it forward 10 fold when her hard work and dedication pay off in the future.
