On Saturday, November 1st at 11:15pm, the SigEp Patriots Project (SPP) will be conducting our 10th Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. We hold this event annually to honor and remember our military brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) Fraternity while simultaneously celebrating the founding of SigEp on this date in 1901.

The wreath laying ceremony is open to the public at no cost & ALL are welcome. The ceremony will be held rain or shine with the tremendous assistance of the Sentinels that serve at the Tomb.

The second wreath -

Following the ceremony at the Tomb, we will make the 5 minute walk down to the gravesite of the first SigEp Patriot known to be presented the Medal of Honor - World War II Veteran & District of Columbia Alpha Brother Colonel Justice Chambers, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired) at Section 6, Grave 5813-A-9. Here a second wreath will be placed. November 1st is also the anniversary of Brother Chambers being awarded the Medal of Honor.

This is NOT a fundraising campaign. We are asking for donations to assist with the cost of purchasing the wreaths paid for by a brother using personal funds.

Important notes:

You have to pass through security at the Welcome Center of the cemetery, and it takes roughly 15 - 20 minutes to walk from there up to the Tomb. Military personnel & veterans may be able to enter Arlington on foot from Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall via the Old Post Chapel Gate.
