Dear Brothers,

For those who don’t know me, my name is Kyle (Class of 2019) and I am the current AVC Chapter Counselor for the chapter.

Last year, the Penn Omega undergraduates began offering the Balanced Man Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to Freshmen that exhibit the same Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love characteristic of SigEps well into their college career. Students that receive this award can use it to assist in any academic costs, whether that be books, tuition, or basic school supplies.

After only one year, this scholarship has proven to be an incredibly beneficial recruitment tool at the chapter’s disposal. It generates interest from potential new members before they even step foot on campus, and demonstrates the fraternity’s commitment to welcoming everyone to the La Salle community with open arms. More importantly, the Balanced Man Scholarship allows for Sigma Phi Epsilon to continue its philanthropic mission in a way that can be seen first-hand.

It is because of this great work that I am now turning to all of you. The undergraduates wish to expand this scholarship for its second year, and they need our help. We are looking to raise $1,000 dollars for this scholarship, split across $500 a semester, in hopes of making an even bigger impact on a deserving recipient. Whether you have donated recently or it has been a while since you have had any contact with the chapter, this scholarship is a great way to give back to the chapter that has given so much to all of us.
