Bring Sierra & Taylor Home

Donation protected
On January 19th, 2014, My ex-husband attacked me in front of my two girls, Sierra and Taylor. Since then, life has been a series of courtroom meetings to make sure my girls are safe and I am as well. Per court ruling, he was forbidden primary and/or joint custody of the girls, ever. He was to have visitation only, and only if he met certain requirements put forth by the court. He was to maintain sobriety, undergo anger management, and also obtain a psychosexual evaluation from a psychiatrist. He failed to complete any of those things.

On March 23rd, 2015, he applied for and was granted a temporary order of custody of the girls, as he claimed that I was prohibiting visitation. How does this happen? The court and my former counsel failed, making my family a victim of an overworked judicial system. On March 23rd, the local Sheriff arrived at my house and transfered custody to my ex. I now can only see my girls every other weekend from Friday at 6 pm to Sunday at 6pm.

My girls watched for years as their father abused me and were victims of his abuse themselves. It took us 9 months after I left to get them to the point where they could sleep without nightmares, and where they were happy, healthy, well adjusted and THRIVING girls. Both of them were about to complete their best school year ever as far as grades and accomplishments.

They are not enrolled in school. They spend a lot of time at different places that are not home.  Sierra is 13 and has Asperger's syndrome, an offshoot of Autism that also carries some fine and gross motor control issues. She needs a day to day routine she can count on to thrive. Taylor is 10 and consistently works 4 grade levels above her grade. They BOTH need the consistency and services a school has to offer. They are both gluten intolerant and both require an organic, healthy, gluten free diet to maintain optimum health which they are not currently receiving. I have two girls who come home every two weeks, scared, exhausted, and sick.

This is where you come in. I have found new, amazing counsel that is 1000% confident that he can correct this injustice, and it is an injustice. Even the court clerk recognized this as something that should never have happened. But.... all things come with a price. For him to even file the initial motions, he requires a retainer of $4250.00. For this case, he is willing to accept less than half up front, $2000.00 to get started. Asking for help is hard, even when I desperately need it, because I take pride in being able to do things for myself. My girls are worth this though, and SO MUCH MORE! They're worth swallowing my pride and worth admitting that I failed at being Supermom. Help me bring my girls back home where they belong, safe and sound.
