Sierra's New York Fund

Hello! My name is Sierra, I am 15 years old, and my aspiration is to travel to New York with my singing group, the Southern California Children's Chorus  in summer 2016. Because of our financial situation at the moment, this may as well be the only possible way I could embark on this trip with them. We have been hired to perform in Carnegie Hall, Time Square, various cathedrals and churches, and we will be street singing throughout Central Park and other public areas. We will also be taking a tour to the Statue of Liberty, and all through the famous landmarks in Washington D.C. to be completely educated on our surroundings. It has been my dream since I was a child to go travel the world and see new places, but New York has always been #1 on the list. $1,500 is not the total amount I need to raise, but I will be trying to take this one step at a time. Our previous performances have been events such as the 84th Academy Awards, filming a music video/appearing live in concert with Aerosmith for the Boston Marathon tribute, performing in operas with the Pacific Symphony and Pacific Chorale such as Carmen, Carmina Burana, Tosca, La Boheme, and others. We put together many charity events, entertain in retirement homes and overall use our singing to give back to everyone around us. I pray with all my heart that I will be able to raise the money for this once in a lifetime opportunity, as being with this choir for the past 8 years has impacted my life in unimaginable ways.
