Sierra's Farm Apprenticeship Fundraiser

Hi, I'm Sierra! Someday, I aspire to become a ranger for the National Park Service and an environmental journalist to put forth my best efforts to care for and protect the natural world.

One of the best ways for me to gain the necessary preparation for these career paths is to engage hands-on with my field of interest, which is why I am asking for help raising funds for my participation in the Farm Apprenticeship Program at UC Santa Cruz this summer.

The total duration of the program is 10 weeks and it is full-time. Although an incredible opportunity, it requires me to spend the summer away from home and work, thus I will need assistance with paying for day to day expenses such as transportation, food and other farmwork-related materials while I am away studying and learning.
