YWAM Missionary School in Mazatlan
Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page. This page was created in an effort to raise funds for my upcoming schooling in the field of missions through YWAM Mazatlan. I have been accepted to their program which includes three months of intensive study in Mazatlan, Mexico and three months of outreach somewhere else in the world. The location of our outreach mission will be determined by myself and my team after completing Discipleship Training School in Mazatlan. While outreach will require approximately another $3,000 to $5,000, I am currently seeking to raise money for the first portion of the program: Discipleship Training School (DTS).
While fairly recent, my walk in faith for Christ has been an explosive and exciting one! Around this time last year, after assisting some people in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas, the revelation of Christ coming to love others and save them became very real to me, as well as the realization that I could spend my entire life living for him and bringing others to know him. Shortly after, Hurricane Michael-a massive Category 5 hurricane-wrecked the Florida Panhandle and upon having a dream/vision from the Lord, I spent about three weeks helping Mexico Beach recover. I slept in tents and spent 16 hour days working to bring food, medicine, and hope to the survivors- people who had lost everything. Never before had I truly witnessed the power of love in a desperate place and for the first time in my life I felt a surreal reality that this was what I was meant for: going to desperate places and showing others the incredible power of God's love. I truly believe that God has called me to Mazatlan to begin this incredible journey of love and devotion to the Great Commission!
DTS will begin April 4th. By that time, I will need to have raised the full amount of tuition ($3,500) and also buy everything I will be needing for DTS as well as my outreach mission. That's six months worth of clothes, a good hiking backpack, passport, missionary medical insurance, and various other things I will be taking with me. While I would absolutely love to have my entire six months paid for ahead of time, I am trusting the Lord that at least my DTS will be paid for by April.
