Sierra & Marissa Hershman Life-Memorial Fund

Donation protected
My nieces, Sierra, (Age 20) and Marissa (Age 18 as of 12/31) Hershman have had to live through the unimaginable, just 2 weeks before Christmas.  Now that the initial shock is wearing off and we all took the much needed time to get through Christmas with family and let them begin to heal, it is now time to come together to help these young girls out as they work to move forward.

On December 13, they found out that their Dad, "Tim" (Henry) Hershman, life ended unexpectedly.  There is an ongoing investigation and any specific questions can be relayed to me or to Tonette.  This is news that no daughter ever wants to hear.  There are so many uncertainties that we are living through right now in our world.  Covid made this death so much harder for the girls by not being able to give him the full tribute that they wanted to.  His family was able to come in from out of town and we were able to have a small private funeral for everyone to pay their respects and begin the grieving and healing process.  The girls are in the process of beginning to plan a Celebration of Life when it is safer and the weather is better.  Be sure to go to Facebook and join the " Tim Hershman Celebration of Life" group for updates to that future event.

After an unexpected death, comes a huge burden for the girls that many may not think about.  On top of funeral expenses and future memorial expenses to give him the tribute they want to give him, also comes with immediate provisions that they both had coming up that Tim had committed to taking care of.  These expenses include: Sierra's college tuition, Marissa's dance tuition, Marissa's High School graduation fees and he was also helping her with her car payments. These are just a few of the upcoming immediate expenses.  There are also many unknowns about his estate and long term planning that are too soon to know about and that can't be finalized until the ruling of the death is final.  What we do know is that we don't want these girls to carry any financial burden at such a young age.

It takes a village to get through life when tragedies happen and we are reaching out to expand our village to keep these girls going and doing what they are meant to do in life.  We want Sierra to continue on her path in college and finding her way in life and we want Marissa to continue dancing, which is one of her loves in life!  He would want them to continue the path they are meant to lead and live!

So many people have reached out on how to help, and right now, this is where the help is truly needed, to take any financial burden off of them to keep them going! Please feel free to contact me (Kristin, their Aunt) on here with any specific questions or other ways you may think of to help them!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
