Sierra Leone Needs You: Food for Families

Hunger Free Sierra Leone strives towards improving nutrition, health, and livelihood of families impacted within its communities. Donations will be use to offer food and educational material to individuals who are struggling financially to provide these essential services they deserve.

Around 5.1 million Sierra Leoneans are estimated to lack sufficient nutritious food needed to live a healthy life. Sixty percent of the population lives in rural areas, the majority of whom rely on subsistence agriculture for their livelihoods. Unfortunately, due to global warming impacting the growth of crops and food, about 1 million people are currently estimated to need food assistance. This number is expected to increase.
