My name is Tina Wellman and I am writing on behalf of my son's best friend Zach Martin. Zach Martin is a hard working and talented young man who just recently turned 18 years old. He is a senior at Schoharie Central School in Schoharie, NY. As we are all aware the Senior Classes of 2020 have had a very challenging year. Zach's has just recently become even more challenging with the unexpected death of his father, Ron Martin. Zach and his dad were extremely close and the loss has been devastating to Zach. Zach is now facing seemingly insurmountable challenges as he navigates through the loss of his dad, the end of his high school career and his entrance into college at Siena this September. Zach was awarded some academic scholarships to attend Siena. His dedication to his studies is evident by these awards and accomplishments. However, Zach needs $40,000.00 to cover the remaining college costs to obtain his degree. I would like to see if we as a community can help remove the stress of trying to figure out how to make those payments for Zach. I appreciate any contributions to Zach's future. Whatever we can unburden him with is worth alot. Zach is comitted to continuing to reach for this goal and carrying his dad's legacy forward. Thank you on behalf of his friends and family.
