Hi,

I'm Giulia and I'm fundraising to cover the cost of treatment and cremation of my deceased 12yo puppy Sieger.

I'm a graduate student and my salary has allowed me to give Sieger a good life, but the medical expenses incurred in the last few days have significantly affected my financial situation.

Sieger passed away unexpectedly earlier this week from an aggressive spleen tumor that began bleeding over the weekend—the prognosis for surgery was very poor. He underwent several diagnoses and medical treatments to determine the severity of his condition, which finally led me to the extremely difficult and sad decision that euthanasia was the best decision in his best interest. I wish I never had to make that call.

Sieger was the best friend I could have asked for and a loyal and loving companion during my studies. I wish I could have spent more time with him, but alas, that is not the case. Those of you who met him know how special he was. Sieger will always be with me and watch over me and surely he will bring a new puppy into my life when I'm ready.
