Sid's yeet the teet fund - private top surgery UK

Hey my name is Sid and I am a trans guy in the UK with something I really want to get off my chest...

I have put together this fundraiser to ask for your support to access gender affirming care. I hope to fundraise some money to help cover the cost of private surgery with a trusted UK-based surgeon.

I am like many others in the UK who are sat on extremely long NHS waitlists, at almost two years into an estimated 7+ year wait for a first GIC appointment (that's without considering time then taken to gain a referral and surgery date), I feel like there is no end in sight with going down the public health route.

Although this whole situation is an extremely personal and sensitive experience for me, I am hopeful in turning to my friends, family, and community to get me over the line with pursuing private top surgery and getting to feel more at home in my body.

I have recently increased my goal to £2,500 due to so much support in the first three days of opening the fundraiser. I will be self funding the remaining amount, including a personal loan, to meet the remaining amount due.

For transparency, here is the breakdown of costs I have paid so far relating to this surgery:

• £360 - Gender dysphoria diagnosis

• £200 - Surgery referral

• £175 - Surgery consultation

• £500 - Surgery deposit

And these are the outstanding costs I am anticipating:

• £8,820 - Outstanding surgery fee and post surgery care

• £100 - Travel and hotel pre/post surgery
