Hi everyone, my name is Manisha and the awesome guy above is my Papa, Surinder Sidhu (aka Sid).

Sid used to be a fulltime truck driver for over 30 years! He proudly recalls driving over 2 million miles. Sadly, in 2021 he suffered from a stroke that severely impacted his ability to walk and go through life independently. He is a survivor and is currently trying to kick cancer's behind!

Even though treatment is challenging he always tries to keep a smile on his face (when he's not sleeping).

He was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his kidney last summer and his life has been a rollercoaster ever since. I've seen my radiant, independent, warm and fun papa go through the darkest of times. After Christmas he contracted a terrible fever and infection that turned into 3 different infections while being at the hospital. This reversed much of the progress that Sid made with his physical ability after his stroke.

He is currently planned to be discharged from the hospital soon, but can no longer climb stairs or walk independently. Our current rental has stairs to access the space and he could really use your help to afford a stair lift along with other medical assistance items to make life a bit easier for him.

Due to costs from his previous health emergency and having to move due to our landlord's inability to install a railing in our previous home, we have little to no savings.

This stair lift will not only support his independence, but will allow him to make his radiation appointments and will support his recovery after surgery.

To clarify - all funds will be transferred to Sid's accounts to ensure they are used for equipment necessary for his recovery and to improve his comfort and independence at home.
