Hi my name is Sid Lewis and I after much debate and too much pride to ask for help are needing to ask for help at this moment.

With the recent ICE protest on June 10, 2025 here in Los Angeles and being and hit with a Baton as I tried to exit the City sidewalk and pushed back & kettled, trapped & surrounded by 150+ full tactical CHP officers (as you can see in the photo above) on the City Street and detained by CHP, put on a LA County Sheriff's bus to South Central's LAPD 77th Division I was shuffled thru a lot of hands and Branches of our local authorities. As these ICE raids increase and the military presence does by the day. Activists, protestors and observers are now being taken by ICE more and more.

Our new DA Nathan Hochman is a good ole boy from Texas and pro mass incarceration and I can't in good conscious go into my court date with a public defender "hoping that charges will be dropped" like the webinar Jail Support said.

These are unprecedented times and as our Mayor said today there is only one branch of government now "The Administration". All protestors could be detained by showing up to their court date now as the rules, checks and balances have changed or don't exist anymore.

I need to retain a lawyer and still keep a roof over my head and with rising costs of everything it's not possible to do both at this time.

I have a good list from the ACLU to tackle and retain. It's a matter of funds now.

I humbly ask for help.
