Hello everyone, we saved this little 7 week old puppy one day last week(Rusty), to start out with we were told he was possibly paralyzed since then this little guy has been using his legs and building up his muscles and is doing very good on that front! Unfortunately a couple days after being in our care he started losing his appetite and acting lethargic, Knowing what signs to look for in a pup this young he was immediately rushed to MedVet where he was tested for parvo and unfortunately tested POSITIVE! (If you know what Parvo is you understand this is a very scary diagnosis for such a young pup) Rusty has been at MedVet since Saturday morning at 2 a.m. where he has received fantastic care, but with this wonderful care also comes a very costly bill... I believe it is somewhere in the range of $4,000. The good news is Rusty is now out of the woods and has a very optimistic prognosis. I was informed this morning 8/4/21 that he is ready to come home and his cell level count is up and he is acting like himself again! Anything you can donate towards reimbursing the canine Collective for saving Rustys life is much appreciated, even if you cannot donate please share this post so we can spread the word. Thank you so much and helping the canine Collective accomplish our mission of saving lives, we are not able to do what we do without the support of our volunteers and caring community.
