Siarde's Supporters

Hi, my name is Jennie Siegler, and I have been best friends with Siarde's wife Jessi for the past 30+ years. Siarde, once the picture of perfect health, has become incredibly ill in the past couple months. What started out as an upset stomach, soon turned into a rash that took over every inch of her body, eventually causing her to lose all of her beautiful hair. She went to Rochester to get some answers as to what was going on and was immediately hospitalized in the ICU for acute kidney failure and extremely high blood pressures. She spent a full week in the ICU receiving 4 blood transfusions and a kidney biopsy. It was found that Siarde is suffering from Lupus Nephritis Stage 4, with her kidneys only functioning at 10%. She was also diagnosed with Lupus Arthritis, 2 blood clots, a leaky valve in her heart, and the thickening of one wall of her heart. After spending a full week in the ICU, she was hospitalized for another two weeks on the regular patient floors. She is now on 19 new medications taken 4 times a day, her feet and legs are so swollen she's barely able to walk, and she hasn't been able to be home with her family in almost 2 months.

Jessi is unable to work due to having a tube in her chest and surgeries on her liver every 2-3 months. With Siarde as sick as she has been, they are desperately in need of help from friends and family until they can get back on their feet again. As hard as it is to ask for help, help is what they truly need right now.
