Hi, my name is Sian, and I’m a 49-year-old Black woman, survivor of a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and someone working hard every day to rebuild my life.
At 22, I survived a car accident that left me in a coma and forced me to relearn everything—from walking to talking. I spent months in rehab at Kessler Institute, then moved to Missouri to live with my mom and begin rebuilding my life. I eventually earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and now work with individuals with disabilities as an instructor at Passport to Learning.
But now, I’m displaced and urgently in need of a safe place to live in Roseville, CA. I need financial assistance for move-in costs—including first/last month’s rent, a deposit, and a few essential items. Despite my hard work and commitment to my community, I'm facing this housing crisis without the resources to move forward alone.
Your support will help me:
• Secure safe housing in Roseville
• Cover move-in costs & deposit
• Continue working and helping others through my lived experience
• Avoid returning to homelessness
Anything you can give—$5, $10, $100—makes a difference. If you can’t give, please share. I’m deeply grateful for your kindness.
With love and thanks,
Sian
