Shyanne's Traumatic Brain Injury

Hi my name is Brianna, I am the loving sister of shyanne who is 25 years old and the oldest of 6 siblings who was recently in a horrific car accident that almost took her life. On January 7th at 6:30am she was rushed to st Michael's hospital were they had to do emergency surgery to remove the bone on the left side of her skull so her brain could swell

she was in a coma then put into a medically induced coma so her body could heal she had a fractured femur and the bone in her arm was dislocated and broken the worst was her traumatic brain injury the doctors didn't think she was going to make it she was put in the ICU while we waited this is one of the hardest things I've ever been through in my life not knowing whether my big sister was going to make it or not but always trusting that God would restore her back to full health my sister was an amazing human being ,always there for people any time they needed her,she would drop everything and go ‍♀️she is such a loving thoughtful and hardworking person she doesn't deserve this God

she was in a coma for 3 months when they slowly started taking her off of all of the sedations and painkillers I remember she was on the highest amount of painkillers that someone could actually be given I watched her go through withdrawals while coming down off of all the medications thankfully she did open her eyes eventually but her life would never be the same as she now has very bad traumatic brain injury she has severe damage to the left side of her brain

before her accident she was a straight A+ student who graduated with honors in high school and college with a 3.99 GPA she graduated mental health and addictions. Its been 11 months since the accident and she still has a very long road ahead of her my mom God bless her heart has been taken care of her spending 8 hours a day at the hospital everyday even with covid and the policy of only having one hour visits my mom never left her side I remember her leaving around lunch time everyday and coming in at 10pm at night sometimes even 12:00 this had been physically mentally and emotionally draining for my mother but I'm so thankful to have such a loving dedicated mom to help take care of my sister with little to no support. I don't know where she would be with out my mom

I'm trying to raise this money to help pay for my transportation back and forth and my sister's day to day living expenses including her bills and student loans my mother has been taking care of her for the last 11 months and has spent all of her savings and she's also not working because she has to take care of my sister ❤️ so if you could find it in your heart to donate to this cause that is so dear to my heart any amount is appreciated thank you for taking the time to read my story God bless each and every one of us please pray for my sister she is a big inspiration to me I look up to her and I need her in my life
