I live in beautiful Humboldt County, in rural Northern California. I go to school full time @ College of the Redwoods and I am a very good student. I have a life-threatening brain tumor that needs to be removed. Since this is a very difficult and dangerous surgery, the procedure will be done in Santa Rosa, CA  which is 220 miles away. I am trying to raise money so that my son, Andrew, can come and support me during the surgery and my recovery. Your donation will pay for Andrew's travel and lodging, and for my convalescence which will be in a nursing home. I am currently living on disability which pays for all our living expenses. Andrew is a full-time college student @ College of The Redwoods and he is my caregiver. I have been insisting that he stay in school so that he will be in a better economic situation in the future. He is sacrificing his youth for me. Without his care, I wouldn't be able to survive. This campaign is not only for me but for my son. I have never asked for anything from anyone before. I have always taken care of others, though. I have summoned up the courage to ask my community to come to my aide. Thank you for considering funding my healthcare. Any amount would be helpful.
