Kayden’s Top Surgery

SO EXCITED  to announce after FOUR years of trials and tribulations, he finally got, not only approved by insurance, BUT A SURGERY DATE! 

March 2021!

The struggle has been real for Kayden since day one of the process. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions. Having to get Dr. referrals, therapist letters, getting denied over and over because medical is out of network for the surgeon you need. (Not every surgeon is trained in Top Surgery) My heart pains for low income kids working so hard to get just an approval and constantly be told no. (Unless they want to pay 10k+ out of pocket)I have been with Kayden for 2.5 years now, and he has been fighting for this way before us. And just in the last few years I have seen how difficult, stressful, and emotionally draining it is.

Now, not being low income anymore and getting great jobs, he was able to get the PPO insurance he needs. Hope was given when hope was lost! Then Covid-19 happened..... we didn’t hear back for a long time. Kayden lost one of his jobs. But after a few months.... he got approved and a month later. SURGERY DATE BOOKED! 

Now, we don’t like to ask for help (ESPECIALLY KAYDEN) but in reality could really use some. 

Even with his great insurance ... surgery will still be 7k out of pocket. Kayden has already put more then half down so I decided to reach out and see if we could get just a little help. We still need a few grand but literally anything helps. 

We don’t ask for much, but I am now asking if you could help even just 1$ it would mean the world to him and his journey. 

Transitioning is so expensive and not your typical “plastic surgery”. By law they require so much more then your average plastic surgery.  Testosterone, needles, top surgery, even legally changing your name through the courts is expensive and different requirements then if you got married and changed your name. They make it so difficult for these poor people. If anything , educate yourself and others. We hope this changes someday.
