Hi there!

My name is Monique Bortey and I’ve started this GoFund Me to help with my family’s basic expenses during this government shutdown. I am a contractor and have been one for the last ten years, however this shutdown is tough because I am the sole provider for my family. My husband had two strokes and a heart attack in 2017 and is unable to work. We have three children that we have to provide for and until I can find a job in the private sector, I’m believing that we can get the assistance we need to stay afloat through this GoFund Me page. My family and I appreciate any donation amount, big or small.
