Shun's Breast Cancer Fund

The funds for this fundraiser will go to supporting my mother with her chemotherapy treatments and supporting my family in the process of moving into a house.

Hi, my name is Bri, and I have begun this GoFundMe  to help my mother have the easiest access to the necessary funds she will need in the coming months. In the last year, my family has been hit with numerous roadblocks that have put us back in terms of getting settled in a place of our own, which isn't new for us. If you have had the pleasure of knowing my mother, you all know she is strong, wise, and stubbornly independent in her own ways. This means she prefers not asking others for things that she can figure out on her own including money.

However, this past April my mother was diagnosed with a form of Breast Cancer that has set us back once again. And since April, my mother has had a surgery to remove the masses in/near her breast and, has practically been bedridden and not allowed to leave our apartment unless necessary due to the current pandemic. And soon, she will begin chemotherapy to combat this disease. On top of this, we are in the process of searching for an actually house to call our own near the start of the fall, so every dollar and share counts for something.

I want her to be focused on her health these next months especially since I will not be home this fall. I am going into my senior year at Oberlin College and she wants me to have the most normal school year possible, so I am going back in the Fall. However, without me, she will have to go back to taking care of not only herself, but my brother and our home too. I am asking for your support to help alleviate the pressures that are bound to ensue with this next step in her treatment.
